The Ambassador Program seeks to increase the participation of 2-year and 4-year Idaho colleges, also known as primarily undergraduate institutions (PUI's), in EPSCoR Research Infrastructure Improvement (RII) activities. While the expectations of faculty, resources available, and general academic culture of Idaho's colleges is much different than at our state's Universities, the NSF EPSCoR Ambassador Program is designed to lead greater levels and quality of PUI participation and will contribute to the pipeline of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) research and education. Ambassadors promote Idaho EPSCoR's diversity and workforce development goals and objectives by recruiting students and faculty for MURI, and high-school teachers for Adventure Learning.
