Dr. Kyle Harrington will enhance MILES research capacity in the areas of machine learning, functional programming, image analysis, and simulation.
Brief biography:
Kyle received his PhD in Computer Science at Brandeis University with Jordan Pollack, and recently was a postdoctoral fellow in the Center for Vascular Biology, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School with Katie Bentley. His research focuses on computational methods to study biological and physical processes in the context of scientific computing, artificial life, and computational/theoretical biology.
